Charice Pempengco Guest Appearances for May 2008

Charice Pempengco joined in a local TV talent show, Little Big Star, and won third place. In the show, she performed American R&B singer Whitney Houston’s 1992 cover version of “I Will Always Love You”. In the video sharing website YouTube, a registed user uploaded the footage of this performance. Stockholm, Sweden-based record companies, Ten Songs Production and Extensive Talent Management, discovered it and subsequently requested Pempengco to record six songs for them.

After Ellen, Charice went on to perform with much acclaim in London’s Paul O’Grady Show. She also got two standing ovations.

Taped earlier but shown on May 12, 2008, Charice Pempengco appeared in Oprah and was featured on kids with extraordinary abilities. Charice blew the audience away with her performance of Whitney Houston’s song I Have Nothing. After her fantastic performance, an emotional Charice told Oprah, “I’m always dreaming that someday I can be a part of your show. I can’t believe I’m here standing with you. This is my dream come true.”

On May 10, 2008, Charice was a special performer in the Filipino hit noon time show Wowowee which held a special show in Hawaii.

On May 17, 2008, Charice was a performer in MGM Grand @ Firewoods opening with David Foster, Alicia Keys, Jamia Simone Nash, Nick Cannon, John Mayer, Josh Groban, among others..

On May 23, 2008, Charice Pempengco was once again a performer in David Foster’s One Night Tribute Concert with Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble’, and former American Idol finalists Katherine McPhee and Michael Johns, among others. In the concert, David Foster hailed Charice and said that, ” A Star Is Born Tonight.” Josh Groban also declared that Charice is one of the most beautiful voices he has heard in a long time.
